UNI is an award-winning Japanese fusion tapas style restaurant that serves both hot and cold plates, as well as a full selection of the finest sushi. Starting off as just a small sashimi den in 2002, it has now expanded both their physical space and their menu to become a modern izakaya. This past year it received the winning spot for 2017 Best Sushi from Best of Boston's Food Awards. It is run by executive chefs Ken Oringer and Tony Messina.

It's no wonder that they are one of the best sushi spots in Boston when their daily preparation process mimics the effort and care they put in to serving their guests. Each day starts out with a "family meal" served to the entire staff and cooked by the restaurant's own cooks. Servers and cooks then break out into their individual and group duties in order to get the restaurant ready to go by the time doors open at 5:30pm.
